EG Ferrule Assembly (with O-ring soft seal)

Features of EG Soft Seal Bite Type Fitting
Different from conventional ferrules, EG soft seal bite type fittings have an oil-resistant O-ring on the structure, as shown in the figure. The O-ring before the locating ring is between 24° cone of the body and outer wall of the tube, thus blocking the only leakage path of the connector. By using soft seal ring, EG ferrules have better sealing performance and vibration resistance than common ferrules and realize zero leakage. They are especially suitable for gases and applications with much vibration, and applicable to a wide range of media. (See P13 for the installation.)

Ordering number with paired connector: when paired with a connector, add “G-” to the beginning of the ordering number, for example: G-GV-S16-SL.

Product materials: locating ring: 630 stainless steel; ferrule: 316L stainless steel; nut: 304 or 316L stainless steel.
O-ring material: standard O-ring: FPM (-25℃~+200℃); optional O-ring: EPDM (-50℃~+150℃); if EPDM is required, add “-E” to the end of the ordering number, for example: EG-L18-SL-E.

Uses of Lock Nut
Apply the special stainless steel lubricant PASTE-L-2/3S to the thread before tightening the nut, thereby preventing seizure. If it is impossible to apply oil, seizure preventive measures may be taken for the thread. Please contact us.
